Things To Know

  • Garbage pick up is every Thursday morning. (Friday on those weeks with holidays). Garbage pickup is serviced through Allied Waste Services / Republic Services. You will be billed every three months for this service directly through Allied Waste Services.

  • Recycle pick up is also every Thursday morning. Simply place your recyclables in blue bags or recycling bins along the street next to your driveway. Most recycled items (glass, plastic, aluminum cans) do not need to be separated. They do not pick up hazardous waste materials such as used motor oil, gas, paint, chemicals, etc. For more information on Allied Waste recycling, please review their website recycling guidelines: http://www.ci.alma.mi.us/docs/Allied%20Waste%20Recycling%20Info.pdf

  • Snow removal is the responsibility of Olmsted Township services. If a mailbox is damaged by a snow plow, contact Olmsted Township service.

  • Our association has specific rules for home additions, sheds, fences, decks, home improvements, patios, swimming pools, driveway extensions, etc. (SEE PROPERTY ADD ONS)

  • The annual homeowner association dues are currently $300.00, due each year by March 1st. You will receive an invoice for the fees in late January or early February. A late fee of $25/month will be assessed to all accounts with unpaid balances.

  • The Villages of Lakeside board of trustees hosts an annual meeting each year in March. You will receive notification of this meeting with your association fees invoice. This is a great way to meet your board members and hear about accomplishments and goals for the association. You will be notified at least 30 days prior to the meeting with the date, location and time of the meeting. All VOLHA residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

  • If you have concerns / issues such as barking dogs, excessively noisy neighbors, speeders of erratic drivers, please contact the non-emergency number for the Olmsted Twp. Police. (440) 235-3335.

  • If you have any questions or concerns about the association, please review the website information or feel free to contact the Villages of Lakeside Homeowners Association voicemail number (216) 556-0524. There are three members on the board representing three areas of the development. They will return your voicemail at the above number as soon as possible. Board members will not handle police-type matters.
